Privacy Policy

At Breezy Apps Limited (“we,” “our,” or “us”), your privacy matters. Olly stores completed notes on your device and, when enabled, in your personal iCloud account. In Olly versions that use online note processing, creating a note or adding a recording to an existing note sends the new transcript and the folder options needed for processing to our Cloudflare service. The service sends the new transcript and folder options to OpenAI to clean up the wording, create a title, and choose a folder. Voice audio is transcribed on your iPhone. Apple Watch recordings may first sync through your private iCloud account to your iPhone. Audio is not sent to Olly’s Cloudflare service or OpenAI. When you add a recording to an existing note, the existing note text is not sent.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to all of our mobile apps; the hosted note-processing described here applies to Olly versions that include it.

Data We Collect

We keep data collection to a minimum.

a) Data you provide directly

Name and email address – only if you sign up for email updates or marketing from us. You can opt out anytime.

b) Data collected automatically

  • App usage information – such as features you use and how often, to help us improve the app.
  • Crash reports and diagnostics – so we can find and fix problems.

This information is collected through privacy-focused analytics tools and is not linked to your identity.

c) Sensitive data

Olly may process personal or sensitive information that you include in a note. Voice audio is transcribed on your iPhone. Apple Watch recordings may first sync through your private iCloud account to your iPhone. Audio is not sent to Olly’s Cloudflare service or OpenAI. In Olly versions that use online note processing, creating a note or adding a recording to an existing note sends the new transcript, folder names and identifiers, and any title or folder choice you entered over HTTPS to our Cloudflare Worker. The Worker sends the new transcript and folder options to OpenAI for processing. Existing note text is not included when you add a recording to a note.

The Worker is configured not to store note content in durable storage, and Worker logs and traces are disabled. OpenAI API data is not used to train or improve its models unless the customer opts in. We do not opt in to sharing API inputs or outputs with OpenAI for model improvement. OpenAI may retain API content in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days under its standard settings, with possible exceptions required by law or reasonably necessary to protect its services or others. We set the Responses API `store` option to `false`; this prevents application-state storage for the response but does not disable abuse monitoring.

How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Operate and improve our apps.
  • Send you updates, offers, or news (if you have signed up and can opt out anytime).
  • Monitor app performance and fix issues.

We do not sell your data to anyone.

How Your Data Is Stored

Completed Olly notes are stored on your device and, when enabled, in your personal iCloud account. When online note processing is used, Olly’s Cloudflare Worker is configured not to store note content in durable storage. The Responses API request disables response storage, but OpenAI’s standard abuse-monitoring logs may retain content for up to 30 days, subject to the exceptions described above. The new transcript, folder options, and any title or folder choice you entered are sent only as needed to provide the requested processing.

If you sign up for email updates, your name and email address are stored securely with our email provider.

Payment details are handled entirely by the app store (such as Apple’s App Store) — we never see or store your payment information.

Third-Party Service Providers

We work with trusted service providers who help us run our apps, such as:

  • Subscription management services.
  • Privacy-focused analytics providers.
  • Email delivery services.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts the note-processing Worker used by Olly versions with online processing.
  • OpenAI, which processes new transcripts for Olly versions with online processing and returns cleaned note content, a title, and a folder choice.

We send providers the information needed to provide the requested service. Each provider handles that information under its own service terms and data controls. We do not opt in to sharing API inputs or outputs with OpenAI for model improvement. OpenAI’s standard abuse-monitoring retention may last up to 30 days, as described above.

Data Sharing

We share personal information only as needed to provide our services or in these circumstances:

  • When required by law or legal process.
  • When an Olly version uses online note processing, with Cloudflare and OpenAI to process new transcripts and return the requested formatting, title, and folder choice, as described in this policy.

International Users

We are based in New Zealand, but our apps are used around the world. Some data may be processed in countries other than where you live. We ensure any such processing is protected by appropriate safeguards.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Opt out of marketing communications.

Children’s Privacy

Our apps are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make important changes, we will notify you in a reasonable way, such as through a notice in the app.
